A group of 14 young adults, 12 of whom were Ramah alumni, recently spent a week in Poland on Ha’dor Yizkor: A Reshet Ramah Poland Journey. During our week together, we honored the vibrancy of Jewish life that once existed in the country, bore witness to the unfathomable atrocities of the Shoah, grappled with complex questions about Poland’s modern Jewish community, and celebrated our Jewish identities proudly and joyfully through prayer, song, and dance.

We have just concluded two extraordinarily powerful back-to-back Israel missions for our North American staff and incoming shlichim. During the past two weeks in Israel, we brought together 300 members of the 2024 Ramah community, representing each of our North American camps.

In September 2023, National Ramah launched Reshet Ramah Ba’Ir, a new name for programming for 20s and 30s alumni and friends. Since then, we have hosted 26 events in 7 cities, which have brought together 1,200 collective attendees.

From March 3-4, 2024, Ramah camper care professionals and other year-round employees attended Foundation for Jewish Camp and Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan’s Youth Development and Well-Being Conference. During their two days together, professionals gained useful skills in supporting MESSH (mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health) for campers, counselors, and all community members at Ramah.
