For the facilitator

This peulah draws inspiration from the popular live events held by the “Israel Story” podcast.

Program

  • "Israel Stories Live" features 6-8 participants (draw participants from chanichim, tzevet, and especially mishlachat) who take the stage and share true and personal stories around a chosen theme related to Israel.

  • To prepare, storytellers submit their ideas in advance. The trzevet then works with them to refine their narratives and develop their stage presence and skills.

  • Each story should be limited to 5 minutes.

  • Live music adds another dimension to the evening. Chanichim with musical talents are encouraged to choose a musical piece that complements the theme to perform in the beginning and end of the evening.

  • An M.C. will guide the evening, ensuring storytellers keep to the allotted time and the event flows smoothly.

  • Since this activity aims to provide a platform for diverse perspectives, be sure to select participants from a variety of backgrounds and experiences to share their unique Israel stories.

  • Optional competition: At the end of the evening, the chanichim select the most compelling story, and the storyteller of that evening receives a prize. (for example) Telling their story on the camp radio.

Suggested themes

  • The titles are intentionally open-ended to allow for interpretation and creativity of the story teller.

    • An “Only in Israel” experience.

    • The Israeli melting pot

    • My crazy Israeli family

    • Israel: My Home - My  Homeland

    • My favorite Israel moment
